All manner of things shall be well...

I captured this tree silhouette about 10 days ago....
I encountered these lyrics for the first time yesterday...
"Loud are the bells of Norwich and the people come and go
Here by the Tower of Julian I tell them what I know.
Ring out bells of Norwich, and let the winter come and go...
All shall be well again, I know
Ring for the yellow daffodil, the flower in the snow
Ring for the yellow daffodil and tell them what I know
Ring out bells of Norwich, and let the winter come and go...
All shall be well again, I know"
~
This week has already hit me with a new wave of Senior Management Team madness, but I'm holding on to the serenity of Julian of Norwich in the echo of the final line.
~
Sending love and best wishes to a number of my readers who are currently unwell.  Jx

  1. Urgh to SMT madness!!! Luckily, we had an SMT Inset today where I was sitting with some SMT and they were being pretty cool and lovely. I think we have it much better than you in Secondary education!x

  2. It's strangely comforting to know Senior Management Team madness is a international hazard. I love the last line as well.

  7. 'All shall be well'. Julian's words are indeed a comfort. The tree silhouette with the light shining behind it is lovely and also uplifting as are the lyrics you quote.

  13. Everyone is saying they love the photo, but for some reason I still can't get it on my computer, so that is why I've not commented, but do love the poem. Take care and August is getting closer.
